In the framework of VeloFest 2011 - creative bicycle festival, is being organized a workshop for creation of bicycle paths. The workshop is being organized by Sustainable Initiatives in partnership with the Architecture Faculty of Skopje, in cooperation with the Avangard Creativity Forum from Prilep and the Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands to Skopje.

 

During the workshop visions on specific bicycle traffic points will be created, thus to contribute for the improvement of the urban cycling.

 

The workshop is open to all last year undergraduates in architecture. The programme of the workshop will be realized in Prilep, from 1 till 4 april 2011 and on the Faculty of Architecture, Skopje, from 26 till 27 March and from 9 till 10 april 2011.

 

Expert leader will be Wim van der Wijk, transport expert, from the "Royal Haskoning", from The Netherlands, in cooperation with assistants from the Architecture Faculty, Skopje.

 

Registration is done at the archive of the Architecture Faculty, Skopje, or by e-mail on: rabotilnica [at] velofest.mk. The deadline is Monday, the 14 March 2011.

 

Within the framework of VeloFest 2011, an exhibition will take place where the students will present their solutions.

 

Recommendation: the students should be active participants in the bicycle traffic.

The workshop will be in English language .
